Advanced Massage Therapy Program
The Advanced Massage Program is designed to provide students with complete and comprehensive training in Massage Therapy and advanced massage techniques including shiatsu, lymphatic, stone and pregnancy massage. Graduates of the Advanced Massage therapy program will receive a certificate upon completion and are eligible to sit for National Certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).

♦ Massage Therapy prerequisite
The program consists of an introduction to bodywork providing instruction in basic anatomy and physiology of the human body, instruction in Swedish and other types of massage including reflexology, in-office massage, deep tissue massage and oscillation therapy. This program was designed specifically to prepare the student for city and country licensing requirements within the State of California and for entry-level positions in clinics, health clubs and beauty salons
♦ Shiatsu Massage
The heat from the warm basalt stones penetrates deeply to help loosen and sooth tightened, congested muscles. The cool marble stones are used to reduce inflammation and create a balanced and rejuvenating treatment.
♦ Stone Massage
The theory behind the effectiveness of massage therapy is discussed. Students learn the techniques and procedures for massage therapy and other body conditioning treatments for hygienic or remedial purposes. Massaging the body using a variety of established techniques for health purposes. Giving direction of a medical practitioner, giving instruction for activities such as reducing or remedial exercises. Entry-level employment may also be available as a physical or corrective therapist assistant
♦ Pregnancy Massage
Student study how certain massage techniques practiced during pregnancy is a perfect way to reduce stress and promote general well-being.
♦ Lymphatic Massage
Lymphatic massage gently pumps the lymph nodes, imitating the body's way of moving its fluids as well as stimulating the production of various white blood cells and boosting the immune system. It is a deeply relaxing, rhythmic and hypnotic technique that is ideal for assisting the body during a cleanse or a fast.
