Pain Management Therapist Program
Pain Management Therapist program is designed to provide students with complete and comprehensive training in pain management using the direct Myofascial Release method. Myofascial release refers to the manual massage technique for stretching the fascia and releasing bonds between fascia and integument, muscles, and bones, with the goal of eliminating pain, increasing range of motion and balancing the body. Direct Myofascial Release seeks for changes in the myofascial structures by stretching, elongation of fascia or mobilizing adhesive tissues. This program is intended only for advanced practitioner. Pre-requites Completion of Advanced Massage Therapy or Certification as Massage Therapist from the NCBTMB

♦ Myofascial Release I
This "hands-on" introductory course has trained students to able to produce positive, structural changes in their patients with acute and chronic pain and dysfunction. The direct Myofascial Release method works directly on the restricted fascia, the practitioners use knuckle or elbow or other tools to slowly sink into the fascia, the force is a few kilograms-force or tens of newtons, contact the restricted fascia, then put a tension or stretch the fascia.
♦ Myofascial Unwinding
The Myofascial Unwinding is designed to enhance the students' skill level and sensitivity providing them with a comprehensive treatment regime. Persistent pain and/or structural dysfunction may be perpetuated by "holding or bracing patterns" in the body. Students will learn from the patient's perspective how unresolved emotional issues or mental concepts that are outdated and no longer relevant may impede progress.
♦ Myofascial Release II
Myofascial Release II completes this conceptual framework with important, advanced, whole body Myofascial Release techniques and newly refined cranial advancements. Stduents learn advanced skills to greatly enhance vital "feel" via development of the tactile and proprioceptive senses which allow them to achieve a higher level of expertise.
♦ Fascial-Pelvis Myofascial Release
Our experience has shown that over 90% of patients suffering with lumbar and pelvic pain, menstrual problems, cervical pain, and headaches have imbalances in the pelvis creating fascial restrictions throughout the body. This seminar will teach you a logical, step-by-step progression of techniques for treating the lumbo-pelvic region in a comprehensive and effective manner.
♦ Cervical-Thoracic Myofascial Release
Student are given the confidence and skill to successfully treat cervical pain, restriction of motion, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, carpel tunnel, TMJ pain, and to decrease pain in the hand while increasing its functional mobility.
♦ Myofascial Rebounding
The Myofascial Release Approach has three major components: Myofascial Release, Myofascial Unwinding, and Myofascial Rebounding. Myofascial Rebounding utilizes the fluid/energy dynamics to greatly enhance your Myofascial Release effectiveness in reducing pain, increasing function, and awareness
♦ Externship
Upon satisfactory completion of all didactic requirements, the student goes for on‑the‑jobtraining where learned skills are put into practice.
